The 2011 Rosarito Student Film Festival team would like to thank the Rosarito Beach Hotel, especially owner, Hugo Torres, and general manager, Daniel Torres, for their continued support of the Rosarito Student Film Festival, which is now in its fourth year. The Rosarito Student Film Festival is made possible through a collaboration of Emerson College, the L.A. Internship Program, the City of Rosarito, Campus MovieFest, and the Rosarito Beach Hotel. For the past four years, the Rosarito Beach Hotel has hosted the film festival, which provides local students the opportunity to learn how to film, edit, and produce a five-minute movie in one week.
By providing lodging, meals, internet access, venues for festival activities, and additional festival support, the Rosarito Beach Hotel makes the week-long event an experience of a lifetime for festival participants. Due to the generosity of owner, Hugo Torres, and the hard work of the entire hotel staff, local students are given the opportunity to learn how to make movies that give voice to their distinct perspectives on Rosarito.
